What happens next

From your message to the chair

Four steps. Nothing is charged until the last one, and the plan can still change or stop at step three.

  1. 01

    You send what you have

    10 minutes of your time

Dates, concern, medication and treatment history. Photographs in daylight help. Incomplete is fine — the reply will ask for what is missing.

  2. 02

    A written plan comes back

    Usually within a day

Treatment, session length, and the total including VAT. If two options fit, both — with the trade-off explained. The comparison page is the long version of that conversation.

  3. 03

    An appointment is held

    One exchange

A named day and time. No deposit, nothing charged, nothing non-refundable. Confirm your payment method now rather than at the front desk.

  4. 04

You pay at the clinic, after the consultation

    On the day

Once a physician has examined you and the plan is confirmed in person. If it stops there, you pay nothing.

Message us roughly two to three weeks before you fly, and confirm the slot about a week out. Same-week appointments are often possible — the clinic is open seven days a week — but the longest treatments fill first.

Channels

Or message the clinic directly

All four messengers reach the same clinic. Pick the one you already have installed — the thread stays open after you fly home.

Questions

Before you write

Including the two worth asking any medical-tourism operator: what it costs you, and how they get paid.

What happens after I send a message?

A written plan comes back, usually within a day: a specific treatment, the session length, and the total price including 10% VAT. If more than one option fits what you have described, you get both with the difference explained rather than a push toward the more expensive one. We book nothing and charge nothing at that point. You decide afterward whether to hold an appointment, and even then we take no deposit.

What should I include in the first message?

Your dates in Seoul, what is bothering you about your skin, and anything that could rule a treatment out. That last part means medications, isotretinoin in the last six months, pregnancy or breastfeeding, allergies including fish allergy, implanted devices such as a pacemaker, and any filler, thread or laser work in the last twelve months. Photographs in daylight help but are not needed to start. Do not send passport scans or medical records in a first message: none of it is needed to plan a first appointment, and the clinic will ask you directly if a document is needed later.

Does it cost anything to ask?

Asking costs nothing and there is no obligation attached to it. There is no consultation fee for a written inquiry and no charge for the assessment itself — you pay only for treatment you decide to have, at the clinic’s published prices, the same amounts a Korean patient pays. If the answer that comes back is that no treatment here suits you, it costs you nothing either.

Which messaging channel should I use?

WhatsApp is the international patient team’s channel for this page, and email works with nothing installed if you prefer it. The clinic’s own messengers cover the other audiences: KakaoTalk (Korea-based); Japanese LINE (Japan); Traditional-Chinese LINE (Taiwan, Hong Kong); WeChat (Mainland China). All of them reach the same team at the clinic. The channel matters less than the thread staying open: whichever you pick is the one you can come back to weeks after treatment, which is the point.

How quickly do you reply?

Replies normally come within a day, and often the same day during Korean working hours. Seoul is UTC+9, so a message sent outside Korean working hours is usually answered the next Korean morning. We see a small number of international patients a month instead of running a call center, so answers come from someone who knows the price list — and a reply takes hours rather than seconds.

Can I book by phone instead of messaging?

Phone booking works and the number is 02-318-2888, but reception answers in Korean first, so it suits confirming a time rather than planning a treatment. Kind Global Clinic Myeongdong also takes bookings through Naver and KakaoTalk, and its Korean-language site is published here. Writing in gets you the written plan and total before you fly; calling is faster if you are already in Seoul and know what you want.

Should I send photographs, and what kind help most?

Photographs help, though they are not needed to start a conversation. The useful ones are taken in daylight near a window, without makeup or a filter, straight on and then from each side — three shots is plenty. What they let a physician do is narrow the options before you arrive, which is the difference between a plan and a guess. They are not a diagnosis and cannot replace the in-person assessment, and nothing is confirmed until a doctor has examined you.

What if I need to change or cancel my dates?

Message the same thread and the appointment is moved or released — there is nothing to forfeit, because nothing is paid in advance. Travel plans change, and an appointment held here carries no deposit and no cancellation fee for exactly that reason. The one thing worth doing is telling us early rather than on the day, since the longest treatment slots are the hardest to refill and the easiest to rebook for you later.

How far in advance should I book a skin treatment in Seoul?

Message us roughly two to three weeks before you fly, and confirm the exact slot about a week out. That is enough time to review your skin photographs, flag anything that rules a treatment out, and hold a specific appointment on a specific day. Same-week and even same-day appointments are often possible, because we are open 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM Monday to Friday, and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Korean public holidays. The treatments with the longest chair time, the packages in particular, are the ones that fill first.

What does a first visit to Kind Global Clinic actually involve?

A first visit runs about 60 to 150 minutes end to end, depending on the treatment. It begins with a skin assessment with one of the clinic’s physicians, who confirms what is suitable and what is not. Numbing follows where the treatment needs it, then the treatment itself, then cooling and aftercare in the powder room. You are given written aftercare before you leave.

What can go wrong, and what happens if it does?

Every treatment described on this site has side effects, and the common ones are redness, swelling, warmth, bruising and tenderness that settle over hours to days. Less common problems exist for each treatment and are listed on that treatment’s own page alongside the people it is not suitable for. If something concerns you after you have flown home, contact the inquiry team in the same message thread so it can relay your concern to the clinic, or use the clinic’s direct contact details. If you suspect a complication, seek medical care promptly; a message exchange cannot replace an examination. No one on this site can promise a result, and any page that does is not describing medicine.

How many treatments can I fit into one trip to Seoul?

Most visitors do one substantive treatment per visit, and our single-visit packages are built to combine several modalities in one 60 to 120 minute sitting rather than spreading them across days. Stacking heat-based treatments on consecutive days is generally a bad idea: the skin needs the interval to respond, and doubling up raises the chance of swelling without improving the result. Ask the treating physician whether your stay allows enough time for the proposed treatments and follow-up.

Do I need a visa or K-ETA to visit a skin clinic in Korea in 2026?

The temporary K-ETA exemption for designated countries and regions runs until December 31, 2026. It does not cover every nationality eligible for visa-free entry. Check the requirements for the passport you will travel on, your purpose of entry and your length of stay before booking flights. The official K-ETA notice explains the extension; consult a Korean embassy or consulate if you need to confirm whether a visa is required.

How many days should I allow in Seoul for a skin treatment?

The time to allow in Seoul depends on the treatment, your medical history and the follow-up the physician recommends. Share your arrival and return-flight dates before booking so the clinic can assess whether the visit allows enough recovery and review time. Avoid treating your departure day as a spare appointment slot. Visible redness, swelling or injection bumps may settle before all risks have passed; their disappearance is not confirmation that you are ready to fly. Confirm your travel plan with the treating physician.

Is it safe to have a cosmetic treatment abroad and then fly home?

Treatment abroad carries risks from the procedure itself as well as from travel and follow-up after you return home. A short stay does not rule out a later complication. Before booking, discuss the treatment, recovery time and flight date with the treating physician, and agree how follow-up care will be arranged at home. Keep the treatment record and written aftercare instructions. If you suspect a complication, seek medical care promptly rather than waiting for a message reply. The CDC medical tourism guidance explains these considerations. This clinic provides non-surgical treatments only.

What is not arranged here?

Flights, hotels, airport transfers and tours are outside what the clinic arranges, and there is no bundled package or itinerary. What is offered is non-surgical dermatology — lifting, radiofrequency, laser and injectable skin treatments — and no surgery of any kind is performed here. If you want a full concierge medical-tourism service, a larger operator is a better fit, and it is always worth asking how any agency is paid, since that shapes what it is likely to recommend.

What if the doctor says I should not have the treatment?

The appointment ends there and you pay nothing, or the plan changes to something suitable and you decide whether to go ahead. Nothing is charged before you arrive and no deposit is taken, precisely so the consultation can reach that conclusion without a financial reason not to. A clinic that cannot afford to turn a treatment down has an incentive problem, and the consultation is where that shows.
