Quick answer
Rejuran at Kind Global Clinic Myeongdong is polynucleotide injected intradermally to work on skin texture and quality rather than lift. Rejuran Healer 2 cc costs KRW 196,900 including 10% VAT, takes 20–60 minutes. Injection-site bumps are visible for one to three days. That is the single most important thing to plan a trip around.
Mechanism
Polynucleotide, and what it is not
Rejuran is not a filler, not a toxin, and not an energy device. Confusing it with any of those leads to the wrong expectation.
Rejuran is a polynucleotide preparation — long-chain DNA fragments, commercially derived from salmon — injected into the dermis in a grid of small deposits. It is regulated as a medical device, not a medicine, and its stated purpose is to support the skin’s own repair processes rather than to add volume or to relax muscle. That distinction matters practically: it will not lift a jawline, will not fill a nasolabial fold, and will not smooth an expression line.
What it is aimed at is skin quality: texture, pore appearance, fine crepiness, and the general property people describe as skin looking “healthy” rather than tight. The published work, discussed in the evidence section below, points in that direction, but it is small: promising and popular, not proven at scale.
Delivery is either by hand with a fine needle in a grid of injection points, or through a multi-needle injector such as the DermaShine Pro for more even distribution across a larger area. The clinic prices the injector session separately from the product, which is why you see a delivery line and a product line in the price table — that is transparency about what you are paying for, not a hidden extra.
The product line splits by what has been added and where it goes. Rejuran Healer is the plain polynucleotide preparation. Rejuran HB adds hyaluronic acid, which makes it behave differently in the skin and is often chosen for drier or thinner skin. Rejuran Eye is formulated for the thin skin of the under-eye area. The clinic’s own KIND Rejuran is a 4 cc treatment volume. All four are in the price table, priced by volume.
Suitability
Who it suits, and who should not have it
The right-hand column matters more than the left. A physician confirms both in person before anything starts.
Likely a good fit
- Skin texture, enlarged-looking pores and fine crepiness, particularly on the cheeks
- Under-eye skin quality, using the formulation made for that area
- Someone in their thirties or forties looking to change skin condition rather than facial structure
- A visitor who can accept visible small bumps for one to three days and plan around them
- Anyone willing to do a course of sessions at two-to-four-week intervals rather than expecting one session to do it
- Combining with an energy treatment in the same visit, since the two work on genuinely different things
Not suitable, or needs review first
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding — treatment is deferred
- Known fish or salmon allergy: the polynucleotide is salmon-derived, so this needs disclosing before anything is booked
- Active infection, inflammatory acne, eczema or open lesions at the injection site
- Anyone expecting a lift or added volume — this is the wrong treatment for both, and you should expect to be told so
- Keloid tendency or a history of abnormal healing after needle trauma
- Anticoagulant therapy or a bleeding disorder, without review first: bruising risk is materially higher
- A trip where you need to look presentable within 48 hours, such as a wedding or a first day of meetings
On the day
How long you are actually there
Each step carries its duration so a visit can be planned around a flight rather than the other way round.
-
01
Assessment
10–15 minutes
A physician assesses skin condition and decides which formulation and what volume suits the area, and confirms allergy and medication history — the salmon-derived origin makes fish allergy a real question, not a formality.
-
02
Cleansing and topical anesthetic
20–30 minutes
A nurse applies numbing cream and leaves it to work. This is the longest part of the appointment and it is not optional — intradermal injection across a whole cheek is genuinely uncomfortable without it.
-
03
Injection
10–25 minutes
Small deposits placed in a grid, by hand or through a multi-needle injector. You will feel each pass as a series of quick pinpricks.
-
04
Cooling and pressure
10 minutes
Cooling to reduce swelling and pressure on any bleeding points. This is also when the bumps become clearly visible.
-
05
Aftercare briefing
5–10 minutes
Written aftercare, when to expect the bumps to settle, and when the next session in the course would be.
Allow about 55 to 90 minutes for the steps above, most of it numbing. Reception, first-visit paperwork and payment sit outside them. Schedule this at the start of a trip, not before an event — you will leave with visible bumps.
Recovery
What happens over the following weeks
Individual response varies. What follows is the usual pattern, not a promise about yours.
| Phase | What you may notice | Do | Avoid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 0 | Small raised bumps at every injection point, redness, and pinpoint bleeding or bruising. This is expected, not a complication. | Cool gently. Keep the area clean. Accept that you will look treated. | Makeup over injection points, sauna, alcohol, strenuous exercise, swimming. |
| Day 1–3 | Bumps flatten progressively and are usually gone by day two or three. Bruises, if any, become more visible before fading. | Gentle skincare and sun protection. Makeup is generally fine from the next day if the skin is intact. | Rubbing, exfoliating, facial massage, or a facial treatment elsewhere. |
| Week 1–2 | Skin looks normal. Some people notice early smoothness; there is no reliable visible change yet. | Book the next session in the course if one was planned, two to four weeks out. | Judging a single session. The protocol in the literature is a course, not one treatment. |
| Month 2–3 | Cumulative change in texture and pore appearance is at its clearest, after a completed course. | Compare against a photograph in the same light and decide with the clinic whether to maintain. | Expecting change in facial contour or in fixed lines — neither is what this treats. |
Bumps lasting beyond three days, a spreading area of redness or heat, increasing pain after day two, or any nodule that hardens rather than settling should be reported to the clinic. Injection into skin always carries an infection risk, which is small but not zero.
Prices
List, standard and first-visit prices in one table
Three prices exist for many items, so all three are shown together. The final column is what you hand over.

The 8 other items in the skin boosters group are priced in the full price list.
The last column is what you hand over — the applicable price plus 10% VAT, which Korean clinics exclude by convention. Korean and foreign patients pay the same. US figures convert at KRW 1,336.2 to $1 (September 9, 2026).
The price page carries every treatment, how the three price columns work, and what changed with the tourist VAT refund in 2026.
Comparison
Rejuran against the other skin-quality options in the same clinic
Four different things get sold as “skin boosters” and they are not interchangeable. This table is about matching the mechanism to the complaint.
| Dimension | Rejuran | Juvelook | Potenza microneedle RF | DermaShine Pro delivery |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Polynucleotide, injected intradermally | Poly-D,L-lactic acid collagen stimulator | Microneedle radiofrequency device | A delivery device, not a product |
| Aimed at | Texture, pore appearance, skin quality | Collagen stimulation over a longer horizon | Texture and elasticity via controlled injury plus heat | Even distribution of whatever is being delivered |
| Visible downtime | Bumps for 1–3 days | Bumps for 1–3 days | Redness and swelling for 1–3 days | Depends entirely on the product delivered |
| Session length | 20–60 minutes | 20–60 minutes | 20–60 minutes | 20–60 minutes |
| Course or single | Course, every 2–4 weeks | Course, spaced further apart | Course, every 2–4 weeks | As required |
| Priced by | Volume in cc, by formulation | Volume in cc, by formulation | Per session, product extra | Per session, product extra |
| Not the answer for | Lift, volume, fixed lines | Immediate visible change | Anyone avoiding needling | Anything, on its own |
All four appear in the same price table on this page, so the comparison is between amounts you can read rather than between claims. Combining an injectable with an energy treatment in one visit is common and is what the single-visit packages do.
Physicians
Who decides the plan, and who performs it
The physician sets the energy level, the depth and the treatment area at consultation, after examining your skin.
Dr. Lee Won Jin, Dr. Lee Kang In and Dr. Oh Se Won — the physicians of Kind Global Clinic Myeongdong — assess the treatment area in person and set the plan before anything begins. All three are licensed physicians practicing at a dermatology clinic, and the two representative directors have held senior elected office in the Korean Public Health Doctors Association.
If you want to know who will be holding the handpiece for your session, ask when you get in touch and you will get a straight answer in writing before you travel.
Evidence
What the literature actually says
Every citation below was checked against CrossRef and PubMed on August 17, 2026, and each carries its own limitation.
-
Park KY, Seok J, Rho NK, Kim BJ, Kim MN. Long-chain polynucleotide filler for skin rejuvenation: efficacy and complications in five patients. Dermatologic Therapy. 2016;29(1):37–40.
Five Korean women received four intradermal long-chain polynucleotide injections at two-week intervals. Pore appearance and skin thickness improved most in patients in their thirties; skin tone, melanin, wrinkles and sagging improved most in patients in their forties. No serious side effects were reported.
Limitation Five patients, no control group. Treats direction of effect only, not effect size.
-
Hong JY, Lee YH, Kim HJ, Park KY. Therapeutic performance of needle injection versus needle-free jet injector system for polynucleotide filler in skin rejuvenation. Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. 2025;24(1):e16595.
A split-face trial in ten Korean subjects comparing needle to needle-free jet delivery of polynucleotide filler. Both sides improved pore and wrinkle indices from baseline; the jet-injected side scored higher on aesthetic improvement and satisfaction and lower on pain.
Limitation Ten subjects, split-face design, no untreated control.
These are small studies. None of them is a large randomized trial, and none of them was run at Kind Global Clinic Myeongdong. They are here so you can read the primary sources and judge them yourself. They also show the size of the evidence base, which for aesthetic devices generally is thinner than marketing implies.
Questions
Questions people ask about this treatment
Answered with numbers and intervals rather than a referral to consultation.
How much does Rejuran cost in Seoul?
Rejuran Healer 2 cc at Kind Global Clinic Myeongdong costs KRW 179,000 excluding VAT, which is KRW 196,900 including 10% VAT. The clinic lists a first-visit Rejuran 2 cc separately at KRW 169,000 excluding VAT, available once. Rejuran HB, Rejuran Eye, the clinic’s 4 cc KIND Rejuran and a lip formulation are priced separately in the table on this page. Korean and foreign patients pay identical amounts.
How long do Rejuran bumps last?
Rejuran bumps are visible for one to three days, and are usually largely gone by the second morning. They are raised deposits at each injection point, not a complication. They are also the single most important thing to plan a trip around: do not schedule Rejuran within 48 hours of a wedding, a shoot or a first day of meetings. Bruising, where it occurs, outlasts the bumps and can take up to a week. Anything still raised after three days should be reported to the clinic.
What is the difference between Rejuran Healer and Rejuran HB?
Rejuran Healer is the plain polynucleotide preparation, while Rejuran HB adds hyaluronic acid, which changes how it behaves in the skin and makes it a common choice for drier or thinner skin. Neither adds volume in the way a filler does. Rejuran Eye is a separate formulation for the thin under-eye area, and the clinic’s KIND Rejuran is a 4 cc treatment volume. Which one suits you is a physician’s assessment of your skin, not a preference to pick from a list.
How many Rejuran sessions do I need?
Rejuran is normally given as a course of sessions at two-to-four-week intervals, rather than as a single treatment. The published protocol in the small clinical literature uses four injections at two-week intervals, and cumulative change is what people report. A single trip to Seoul rarely allows that: one session while you are here is worth doing, but it is not the protocol, and expecting a course’s result from it will disappoint you.
Does Rejuran actually work?
The evidence for Rejuran is genuine but limited, and it is worth knowing the size of it before you decide. The two studies cited in the evidence section on this page are Korean, one with five patients and one with ten. Both report improvement in pore appearance and skin texture with no serious adverse effects, and neither had an untreated control group. That supports a direction of effect for skin quality; it does not establish effect size, durability, or who responds. Read them and judge for yourself.
Is Rejuran safe if I am allergic to fish?
A known fish or salmon allergy is a reason not to have Rejuran without specialist review, because the polynucleotide is derived from salmon DNA. Raise it in your first message rather than at the front desk — it may rule the treatment out entirely, and there are alternative skin-quality treatments at the same clinic, including the poly-D,L-lactic acid collagen stimulators, that do not have this origin. Do not assume a mild childhood fish intolerance is irrelevant; let a physician decide.
Can I have Rejuran and HIFU on the same day?
Rejuran and focused ultrasound in the same visit is a common combination and is the basis of the clinic’s single-visit packages, because one treats skin quality and the other treats tissue tension. The usual order is the energy treatment first and the injectable afterward, with the whole sitting running to roughly 60 to 120 minutes. The combined swelling is more than either alone, so plan a quiet evening and do not do this the day before you fly.
Is Rejuran the same as a filler?
Rejuran is not a filler, and treating it as one is the most common misunderstanding about it. Fillers add volume by occupying space, usually with hyaluronic acid, and produce an immediate visible change to contour. Rejuran is polynucleotide placed in the dermis to work on skin quality over weeks, with no volumizing intent and no immediate contour change. If what is bothering you is a hollow or a fold, Rejuran is the wrong treatment and you should be told that at consultation.
When can I wear makeup after Rejuran?
Makeup is generally acceptable from the day after Rejuran, provided the skin is intact and there are no open injection points. On the day of treatment it should be avoided, because the injection points are fresh punctures and covering them raises infection risk for no good reason. The practical problem is not the makeup rule but the bumps: for the first day or two they are raised enough that foundation does not conceal them.
How soon before flying home should I have Rejuran?
The timing of your flight after Rejuran should be agreed with the treating physician before you book. Share your arrival and departure dates, and leave time for any follow-up the clinic recommends. Visible redness, swelling or injection bumps are only part of recovery; feeling well enough to travel does not rule out a later complication. Avoid scheduling treatment on your departure day, and confirm how to obtain care if a concern develops after you return home.
